98.7 KISS FM presents a very special Mother’s Day Weekend line up at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. The annual shows have become a Mother's Day tradition, and by popular demand, second shows have been added to each event.

On Saturday May 7, 2011, The Royal Comedy Tour brings top comics to the stage at 7:00pm with a recently added late show at 10:30pm. The evening of laughs includes Sommore ("The Queens of Comedy," recipient of the Richard Pryor Award for Comic Of The Year), D.L. Hughley (TV’s "The Hughleys," "The Original Kings of Comedy), Bruce Bruce (Comedy Central special, host of BET’s 10th Anniversary "Comic View"), and Damon Williams (BET’s "Comic View," host of several episodes of "Showtime at The Apollo").

On Sunday, May 8, 2011, The Mother’s Day Concert spreads some motherly love "Old School Style.” With a just-added 3pm matinee and a 7:30pm show, the bill features classic R&B and soul with one of music’s most beloved and consistently popular vocal groups, The Whispers ("Rock Steady," "It's a Love Thing," "And the Beat Goes On") and the distinctive, soulful voice of the always-captivating Stephanie Mills ("Never Knew Love Like This Before," "Home," "Something in the Way You Make Me Feel"), plus special guest Lillo Thomas ("Your Love's Got a Hold on Me," "I'm in Love.")

“We’re pleased to bring this great mix of entertainment to one of New York’s most beautiful landmark venues.“ says Bill Zafiros, co-founder of Marquee Concerts, producers of the show. “The Royal Comedy Tour offers four of today’s sharpest comics for a night of raucous fun, while The Mother’s Day Concert makes the perfect gift for mom, with legendary R&B group The Whispers celebrating over 40 years of hits and the GRAMMY and American Music Award-winning Stephanie Mills,” he adds.
